Nature Weekend

Join us for a weekend of nature in Aberdaron and Anelog. Learn about some of the plants and animals on guided walks, talks and kayak sessions with experts from different organisations including Dolydd LlÅ·n, RSPB, North Wales Wildlife Trust and PONT.

 

Search for choughs along the coast path, shark eggs in the strandlines or orchids in the coastal meadows, discover more about the wildlife and habitats we have at the end of Pen LlÅ·n.

SHARK EGGS HUNT

Location: Porth y Swnt

Search for shark eggs and other treasures from the sea with North Wales Wildlife Trust.

GUIDED WALK
Saturday | 13.07.24 | 1pm - 4pm
Location: Porth y Swnt

 

Guided walk led by the RSPB along the Wales Coast Path searching for choughs and other birds that habitate our coastline.

KAYAKING SESSIONS
Sunday | 14.07.24 | 10am - 4pm
Locatiob: Aberdaron Beach

DOLYDD LLŶN

Location: Porth y Swnt

​

A talk about meadows and wildflowers by Jo Porter of Dolydd LlÅ·n. A short walk around the churchyard of St Hywyn to look at some of the local wildflowers will follow.

NATUR LLŶN
Sunday| 14.07.24 | 6:30pm
Location: Plas Carmel
​

A talk about the nature of the area by the ecologist, Twm Elias. Booking required, please contact Plas Carmel to book your place.

GUIDED WALK
Monday | 15.07.24 | 11am
Location: Porth y Swnt
​
A guided walk along the Wales Coastal Path looking at wildflowers. Learn their names, medicinal use, and their ecological importance. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the outputs of conservation work on local farmland with Jan Sherry from PONT.​
